Safety is a core value at On The Level LLC and a condition of employment. No job, schedule, or cost consideration is more important than the health and safety of our people.

All work will be performed in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including Cal/OSHA, and in accordance with this Safety Policy.
Safety Objectives
Prevent Injuries & Illnesses
Proactively prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and property damage through comprehensive safety measures.
Identify & Eliminate Hazards
Identify and eliminate potential hazards before work begins to maintain a safe work environment.
Promote Accountability
Foster accountability at every level of the company to ensure safety standards are maintained.
Safe Return Home
Ensure all personnel return home safely every day through rigorous safety protocols.
Company ownership and senior management are responsible for:
- Providing a safe working environment
- Establishing and enforcing safety rules and procedures
- Providing necessary training, equipment, and resources
- Leading by example and supporting safety-first decisions
Safety performance is considered equal in importance to quality, schedule, and cost.
All employees and subcontractors are responsible for:
- Working safely and following all safety rules
- Using required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Reporting unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents immediately
- Stopping work if conditions are unsafe
No employee or subcontractor will be disciplined for stopping work due to a legitimate safety concern.
Safety Authority (Stop-Work Policy)
Every employee has the authority and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or practices are observed.
Work may only resume once the hazard has been corrected and approval is given by site supervision or management.
- All employees and subcontractors must complete site-specific safety orientation before beginning work
- Required training will be provided based on job duties (fall protection, ladder safety, equipment operation)
- Toolbox talks will be conducted regularly to address job-specific hazards
- Training records will be maintained
At a minimum, the following PPE is required on all active jobsites:
- Hard hats
- Safety glasses
- High-visibility apparel
- Appropriate work gloves
- Steel-toe or safety-toe footwear
Additional PPE may be required based on job hazards.
- Hazards will be identified before work begins and as conditions change
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) will be completed for tasks with elevated risk
- Control measures will be implemented using the hierarchy of controls
All incidents, injuries, property damage, and near-misses must be reported immediately to supervision.
Incidents will be investigated to:
- Identify root causes
- Implement corrective actions
- Prevent recurrence
Records will be maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The use, possession, or impairment from alcohol, illegal drugs, or unauthorized controlled substances is strictly prohibited on jobsites and company property.
Violations may result in removal from the jobsite and further disciplinary action.
Subcontractors must:
- Comply with all applicable safety regulations
- Maintain their own safety programs
- Provide competent supervision
- Ensure their employees use required PPE
Subcontractors failing to comply with safety requirements may be removed from the jobsite.
Safety rules are mandatory. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including removal from the jobsite or termination.
Repeated or willful violations will not be tolerated.
Safety performance will be reviewed regularly. This policy and related procedures will be updated as necessary to improve effectiveness and maintain compliance.
